Our imagination flies – we are its shadow on earth. – Vladimir Nabokov
Days are far too ordinary for a person like me…
Sunrise, sunset…
I sit on this gray chair outside my bedroom…
Pen and paper on my lap…
Inspiration boosters on the computer screen…
Food and coffee…
(And on repeat…) Food and coffee…
Sweet dog cuddles…
Mundane.
It would make one wonder if I even have “a life”…
Because it is as if I’ve chosen to be confined within the walls of my artwork space…
Like a prisoner maybe…
Or probably even worse.
There may be these boundaries…
Both visible and invisible…
And this lifestyle may temporarily keep me hostage for a while…
But my mind, my imagination…
It knows no limits…
And accepts no limits.
Strange as that may seem…
Because it all happens inside my head…
But…
It excites me more… makes me be more…
So I guess the truth is…
It lets me live more.

Being an artist of any kind requires us to spend long hours alone with just our imaginations for company. Those have been some of my best days, Irene, and I know they will be yours, too.
Blessings!
So true that we do need long hours alone with our imaginations. I have challenging days, Martha, but there are also good days. Thank you for always “keeping me company.” God bless
♡:-)Wonderful post Irene. Sometimes, being alone makes us think more about things. I like having my privacy. Let the good imaginations flow :P Take care then! xxx
So true, Dana. I enjoy my privacy, too. My creative juices flow more when I am alone. Thank you so much for visiting! Take care always and God bless!

[...] So what are your plans for the weekend? If you ask me, I’ll be sitting on the same chair and doing the thing that truly gives me joy. [...]
